We need your help. Many of you know that CHPAS has an “adopted” section of Dry Creek that we maintain. Our portion runs from US 30 north to Rawlins Street. We are doing our fall cleanup event on Saturday. Please join us if you can.
Over the years, our chapter worked to improve this area with fruit-bearing trees, willows, and more. Now it is a popular birding area and also used by Disc Golfers, who also help to maintain the area.
We meet at 10:00 a.m. at the parking area near the intersection of US 30 and Van Buren Avenue. If it rains (and the area floods significantly), we will post this on our website and cancel.
Bring good gloves, sturdy shoes, and a hoe to fish trash out of the creek. We provide trash bags.
We usually schedule two hours but the more people to help, the less time it takes. Come by, enjoy a lovely area, and know that you are helping maintain the environment for both wildlife and people! Questions? Contact us at cheyenneaudubon@gmail.com
