Thanks to the work of our IBA Committee (Vicki Herren, Chair, with members Kirk Miller and Kim Parfitt), and graphic designer Chris Hoffmeister (Western Sky Design), three public education signs are planned which will be enjoyed in the park for years to come. These signs are 24 inches wide and 18 inches tall with two panels for each topic.

We appreciate our partnership with the City of Cheyenne and Cheyenne Botanic Gardens!

Thank you too to photographer Greg Johnson for the image of the Western Swallowtail Butterfly used on our Place for Pollinators sign.

“Duck, Duck, Goose … And So Much More!” (left) will teach everyone about the birds that may be seen on Sloan’s Lake and illustrates some common behaviors.
“The Trees That Keep On Giving” (right) helps the public to understand the need for snags in the park and on the land.
“A Place for Pollinators” (below) explains why unmowed meadows are important to pollinators and the wildlife that depend on them.
