The National Environmental Protections Act, at 50 years old, requires the federal government to analyze the environmental impact of major actions and provide that information to the public for review and comment. The current administration’s Council on Environmental Quality would eliminate some reviews and most importantly, impede public comment.
We can not allow this to happen.
A broad coalition of justice and environmental groups are working together to fight changes that would gut 50 years of environmental protection – and set back or destroy progress already made. The National Audubon Society (NAS) has joined the fight along with many other groups to sue the Trump administration. Learn more about their fight here.
Your support of the National Audubon Society helps them fight changes that could have a devastating impact on wildlife and their habitat. Thank you for your support of the National Audubon Society and our Chapter.
